A limit is not only a pixel ceiling
An output may satisfy its requested dimensions while failing the real job. Altered lettering, invented texture, a changed facial feature or a poor crop can make a larger file unusable. Inspect those areas against the original. Some losses cannot be repaired reliably because the source never captured enough information. An enhancement tool can propose a visual reconstruction; it cannot certify the historical truth of details that were not visible.
Conflicting public descriptions
Current public pricing cards and FAQ do not consistently state the same maximum-output allowances. We therefore avoid publishing one universal guaranteed ceiling. Ask about the exact plan, model, source dimensions and requested export before purchasing for a demanding job. A successful smaller sample does not establish that a much larger output is included. Retain the answer or current account description with the project brief so an entitlement assumption does not become a deadline surprise.
The file is not the whole print process
The merchant’s print guidance describes RGB output. A printer may ask for RGB or a particular conversion workflow; do not convert blindly. Bleed, safe areas, layout, paper and proofing remain separate responsibilities. A PNG from an upscaler is not automatically a press-ready PDF or a printer-approved color result. Confirm the actual receiving specification and inspect the exported file rather than relying only on the application’s preview or a generic print preset.
Define an exit before subscribing
For a fictional one-time family print, decide in advance how many attempts and proof costs you are willing to incur. Keep the original and one restrained candidate. If meaningful detail is less faithful, stop adding effects and consider a smaller format. For recurring work, record accepted outputs and correction effort over a sensible sample. Cancel or change the workflow based on usable value, not on the desire to consume credits already paid for.
