Match the receiving workflow
A printer may accept a raster image or require a prepared layout document. Those are different deliverables. Ask which file type is needed before exporting. Let’s Enhance documents a PNG export option, but that does not establish every printer’s preferred format. A file extension alone also says little about dimensions, crop or color handling. Confirm those properties separately. Do not rename an extension to pretend that one kind of file has become another.
Avoid unnecessary destructive steps
Keep a high-quality master and create derivatives for specific destinations. Repeated lossy saves can degrade an image, so avoid passing the only source through multiple convenience exports. If a JPEG is requested, use appropriate settings and inspect the result. If a layout is required, place the approved image in that workflow with the specified page size and margins. Enlargement does not create the page geometry, bleed or editable text required by every print job.
An export-path example
A fictional illustration is enlarged and approved as a raster master. The print shop requests a prepared document containing a title and border. The next step is layout, not another upscaling pass. Keep the title as editable text where the chosen workflow permits, place the correct image version and export to the receiving specification. Open that final document and check placement. A perfect raster image can still be handed off in an incorrectly sized or cropped page.
Verify the actual file
Inspect the downloaded export, not just the application preview. Check dimensions, orientation, visible content and whether the file opens in an appropriate viewer. Include a clear name that distinguishes production from preview. Do not promise that one format universally preserves every color, layer or transparency behavior. The final decision belongs to the specific receiving workflow and proof. Preserve the approved master so a different export can be made without repeating enhancement.
